Police Respond To Larceny, Crashes, And Vandalism In Redding
Redding police responded to multiple vehicle incidents, property damage, and a stolen bird bath case this week.
REDDING, CT — Police responded to several incidents across town during the week of June 2–8, including traffic collisions, property damage, and a reported theft.
On June 4, a resident on Lonetown Road reported a bird bath missing from his yard. The incident is under investigation.
Officers responded to Farview Farm Road on June 6 for a crisis intervention. A person was taken to the hospital by EMS for further evaluation.

Police were called to a private property motor vehicle incident on June 8 at a used vehicle dealership on Main Street in Georgetown. According to the report, one vehicle backed into a parked car while exiting a space. No injuries were reported.
On June 2, a single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58) and Cross Highway. A vehicle swerved around another that had stopped at a stop sign, drove through the intersection, and went off the road, sustaining damage. The driver was issued a warning for failure to obey a stop sign.

A separate crash was reported on June 3, also on Black Rock Turnpike, when a vehicle turned left out of Joel Barlow High School’s driveway into the path of another vehicle traveling southbound. The driver of the turning vehicle was issued a warning for failure to yield while making a left turn. No injuries were reported.
On June 6, a resident on Redding Road reported damage to their home after someone threw rocks and broke two floodlights. The matter is under investigation.
