Race for the Exchange: A Memorial Day Mile

The Easton Exchange Club's Memorial Day Mile enjoyed sunny weather and a wide variety of runners Monday — even a woman pushing a baby stroller carrying two of her children. Close to 50 participants made the run from the Easton fire station on Center Road to the finish line in front of town hall.

Mike Kot, president of the Easton Exchange Club, said proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Joel Barlow High School's Post Prom, homeless shelters and soup kitchens. One of the Exchange Club's main beneficiaries, according to Kot, is the Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center in Stamford.

Monday's Memorial Day Mile marked the fourth time Easton hosted the event.
