Redding Election Results 2023: Pemberton To Serve Another Term

REDDING, CT — The polls have closed in Redding and the votes are being counted to determine key races like selectman and Board of Education.

First Selectman Julia Pemberton, a Democrat, ran unopposed, as did Town Clerk Michele R. Grande, Treasurer W. Wesley Higgins, and Tax Collector Patricia J. Moisio, among others.

Pemberton was first elected to the town's top spot in 2013, and this will be her sixth term in that office.

First Selectman — Vote for One

Democrat Julia Pemberton is running unopposed.

Selectman — Vote for One

The Democratic candidate is Margaret (Peg) O'Donnell. Michael P. Thompson is the Republican candidate.

Town Clerk — Vote for One

Michele R. Grande, on both the Democratic and Republican tickets, is running unopposed.

Town Treasurer — Vote for One

W. Wesley Higgins, on both the Democratic and Republican tickets, is running unopposed.

Tax Collector — Vote for One

Patricia J. Moisio, on both the Democratic and Republican tickets, is running unopposed.

Board of Finance, Full Term — Vote for Up to Two

Two Democratic candidates are running: Robert Dean, and James Barickman.

Board of Finance, to Fill Vacancy for Two Years — Vote for One

Democrat Roger E. Van Ausdal is running unopposed.

Board of Education, Full Term — Vote for Up to Two

The Democratic candidates are Amanda Guarniere and Meghan Bendish. Bria Pepe is the Republican candidate.

Democrat Celeste Fine is running unopposed.

Board of Assessment Appeals — Vote for One

Democrat Sharon Hoverman is running unopposed.

Planning Commission — Vote for Up to Two

Two Democratic candidates are running: Regina O'Brien, and Kate Perry

Zoning Commission — Vote for Up to Three

The Democratic candidates are William Whitehead, Jr and Nicole Bricker. Matthew Lecher is running on the Republican ticket.

Zoning Board of Appeals — Vote for Up to Three

Elizabeth Williams is running as a Democrat, and Noel Cooke and Brian Matzke are on the Republican line.

Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate — Vote for One

Green Party candidate Leif Smith is running unopposed.

Constables — Vote for Up to Four

The Democratic candidates are Jeff Boxer, Daniel J. Cishek, J. Scott O'Donnell, and Lorcan D. O'Connor. William Cook and Urs Furrer are the Republican candidates. Green Party candidate Leif Smith is also on the ballot for constable.

Region 9 Board of Education — Vote for Up to Two

Both candidates are Democrats: Mary Lee Pampel, and Christopher Parkin.
