Redding Police Arrest Two Drunk Drivers

DUI Arrests in Redding

Robert Barry, 55, of Norwalk was arrested at 2:38 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right on a curve.

According to police, officers pulled over Barry for operating erratically on Black Rock Turnpike. Officers smelled alcohol, and Barry failed field sobriety tests and breathalyzer tests and was taken into custody.

He was released on a $100 bond and given a Nov. 29 court date.

Meghan Rohrmann, 25, of Danbury was arrested at 11:33 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to drive right.

According to police, Rohrmann was stopped for operating erratically on Route 53. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She was released on $100 bond and given a Nov. 29 court date.

A minor with alcohol           

Peter Adamankos, 19, of Redding was issued with an infraction for possession of alcohol by a minor following a report of a suspicious vehicle on Costa Lane. According to police, officers investigated the vehicle and found a bottle of liquor inside of it.

Theft from a motor vehicle

On Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 6:27 p.m., police responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle parked at a residence on Great Pond Lane. Police said someone unlawfully entered the vehicle and took a small amount of cash and electronics.
