Redding Police Blotter Highlights For Nov. 18 - 24

REDDING, CT — Several close calls along the roadways were at the top of the Redding Police Department's blotter this past week.

On Nov. 22, a Wayside Lane resident told police someone had stolen her identity and opened up several credit cards using her name.

A motorist was not injured after striking a deer while traveling northbound on Route 107/Dayton Road on Nov. 20. The deer ran off into the woods, according to police.

An unoccupied delivery truck in the Joel Barlow High School parking lot was struck by a motorist on Nov. 20.

On Nov. 22, a motorist stopped on Route 53/Redding Road for a fallen tree was rear ended by another driver. Police ticketed the driver for following too close, according to their report. No one was injured.

A motorist traveling southbound along a narrow section of Pinetree Road on Nov. 22 pulled too far over in the shoulder while allowing a northbound vehicle to pass, damaging their tire and rim. No one was injured.

On Nov. 23, a motorist left the road along a sharp curve on Stepney Road. Police issued the driver a warning for traveling too fast for the conditions. There were no injuries reported.
