Redding Police Investigate Rollover Accident

Rollover car accident

Keionna Narcisse, 30, of Hamden was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a one-car rollover accident on Route 58, near Sunset Hill Road. Narcisse was headed north on April 28 at 9:59 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled into the woods. She was extricated from her car. The case remains under investigation.

Marijuana possession

A 20-year-old Brookfield man was issued an infraction for possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Black Rock Turnpike. According to police, officers stopped the car because of a headlight violation. After stopping the car, officers detected a “strong odor” of marijuana. Jordan Grossman was issued an infraction ticket for marijuana possession and released on the scene. The incident occurred at 11:32 p.m. on April 25.

International scam

A Meadow Ridge resident received a call from a person who alleged they were associated with a Canadian police department. The caller allegedly told the woman one of her relatives had been arrested and she had to send a little more than $4,000 in order for the relative to be bonded out.  Douglas Fuchs said these kinds of scams are common.

Warrant arrest

John Caldwell, 43, of New Milford was arrested on April 25 at 10:53 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop on Hill Road. Caldwell was also charged for failure to appear, that charge stemming from the New Milford Police Department. Caldwell was released on $500 bond for each charge.

Three-vehicle crash

William Cigal, 81, of Greenwich was heading north on Route 107 when he lost control of his vehicle and sideswiped two vehicles heading south on April 26 at 5:11 p.m. The vehicles all sustained heavy damage.
