Redding Police Investigate Two Sex Crimes

are investing two separate sex crimes, Chief Douglas Fuchs announced earlier this week.

“We’re assisting a New Jersey police department with a sexual investigation that has ties to Redding,” Fuchs said. “Our only involvement at this point is collection of evidence and statements.” 

Because the case remains under investigation, Fuchs said he couldn’t comment further.

The department is also investigating a sex crime that occurred in Redding, he said.

“We are also working on another sex crime as well where women were unknowingly videotaped at a private residence engaged in different kinds of acts,” he said.

This case, he said, was in its infancy.

“We do have evidence,” he said.

Fuchs said he couldn’t comment further, as that case remains under investigation as well.
