Redding Police Respond To Six Motor Vehicle Incidents In Two Weeks

Redding police reported six motor vehicle incidents from March 4-17, including two crashes with injuries and multiple infractions issued.

REDDING, CT — The Redding Police Department Authorities responded to six motor vehicle incidents in the area from March 4 through March 17, 2025:

At Joel Barlow High School, a vehicle pulled into a parking space and struck a parked car. No injuries were reported, and no enforcement action was taken.

A driver traveling north on Blackrock Turnpike encountered a falling tree branch that struck the windshield. The vehicle sustained minor damage, but no injuries were reported, and no enforcement action was taken.

On Ethan Allen Highway, a northbound vehicle struck a rock that had rolled into the roadway from an embankment. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported, and no enforcement action was taken.

Two vehicles were traveling on Route 57 when the first stopped for a red light and was struck from behind by the second. No injuries were reported. The driver of the second vehicle received a warning for following too closely.

A vehicle traveling west on Old Redding Road drifted off the roadway while rounding a curve, striking a tree and rolling over before landing back on the roadway. Emergency medical personnel evaluated the driver, who declined treatment. The driver was issued an infraction for making an improper turn.

On Route 53, a vehicle pulling out of Limekiln Road collided with a southbound car. Both drivers reported injuries and were taken to Danbury Hospital. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed. The driver exiting Limekiln Road was issued an infraction for making an improper turn.
