Redding Resident of the Week: Deanna Pelillo
A new resident who has discovered the town's beautiful and serene woodlands.

Name: Deanna Pelillo
Age: 22
Occupation: Student at Western Connecticut State University, I graduate in May. I also am a student training manager for the computer labs on campus. I train all newly-hired students who will be working in our labs.
What are you future goals?
Occupational goals: To become a buyer for a high-end fashion company. I love cutting-edge fashion and being the first to sport a new trend.
Life goals: To have the opportunity to travel around the world. Europe intrigues me the most, especially Germany. My entire life I have been in Connecticut and just two years ago I took a road trip to Florida and just being able to experience different states in the U.S. was amazing. I cannot wait to have a chance to see what else the world has in store.

Just about a year and half. I moved in with my boyfriend of three years and we absolutely love the area.
What is your favorite thing to do in, or favorite thing about, Redding?
My absolute favorite thing to do is admire the beautiful landscape and wildlife. I love the woods and the clean air. Just walking on the back roads or through the woods could keep me happy for hours. There are so many great bird species around and I love to see how many I can find.
What are some of your interests or hobbies?

I am a bird watcher for sure, and I love to hike as well. Fashion is obviously one of my hobbies too so I am a great window shopper.
Do you have a fond memory that takes place in Redding which you would like to share?
My favorite memory would be my first day living in Redding; the excitement of moving into a new place and starting a new chapter in my life was just part of it. In addition, the most exciting part of that day was going to sleep: there were not any noises whatsoever from outside. It was, and it is, so peaceful.
What is the most interesting thing that you are working on this year?
This semester I need to write a business plan as one of my senior projects, in order to graduate. I am a business management major and I am very excited with the project. My family wants to start a family business so I am taking this opportunity to write it out for us to see if it is plausible.
