Redding's Increased Enforcement Catches 71

65 tickets, six arrests

During the ’s increased enforcement of seatbelt and cell phone violations over the last two weeks, the department issues 43 tickets for people not wearing seatbelts, 13 tickets for people operating unregistered motor vehicles and nine tickets for people talking on their cell phones while holding them and driving. During that same span, officers also arrested six people for driving under suspension. 

Stolen AC units

On Friday, June 1 at 9:09 a.m., it was reported that a couple of air conditioning units that were going to be installed at The Black Cat Grille, , were stolen. The units were valued at about $6,000.

Suspended driver 

On Thursday, May 31 at 9:48 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Black Rock Turnpike after the  went off. Aldo Samuel, 28, of Bridgeport was determined to be driving under suspension. He was released on $250 bond.
