Redding's Wieland Endorses Obsitnik for Congress

“It’s an honor to endorse Navy veteran and entrepreneur Steve Obsitnik for U.S. Congress. Steve’s background, experience and ability to unite people will form the foundation for his victory over Jim Himes this November,” Wieland said in a press release. “Steve’s leadership skills, honed in the military and in business, demonstrate his ability to take on the Washington establishment and fix the mess we’re in. Steve runs his campaign like he runs his business, with honesty and integrity. That’s exactly the type of leadership the people in the 4th District deserve.”

Obsitnik, who lives in Westport, was proud to earn his former rival's endorsement.

“I am honored to have Dick’s endorsement,” Obsitnik said. “Dick and I have many shared experiences, from serving in the military, to creating jobs. We share a vision of what’s going on in Washington and what must be done to grow jobs and get our economy back on track."
