Easton, Redding, Weston Residents Without Power

With eerie storm forecasts on the radar for Thursday, July 26, Patch provides the space for all updates storm-related.

Update, 11:51 p.m.

Connecticut Light & Power is reporting 1,344 customers (34 percent) are without power in Redding and 735 customers (19 percent) are without power in Weston.

United Illumating reports 483 customers (16.9 percent) are without power in Easton.

Update, 9:30 p.m.

The occupants of the vehicle which flipped over on Alwyn Lane have been extricated from their vehicle.

Update, 9:21 p.m.

There are 328 customers (11.46 percent) without power in Easton, United Illuminating is reporting. 

Connecticut Light & Power is reporting 761 customers without power in Weston (19 percent) and 1,066 customers without power in Redding (27 percent). 

According to scanner reports, a vehicle has skidded off the road on Alwyn Lane in between Newtown Turnpike and Powder Hill Road in Weston. Occupants are trapped inside.

Other reports include a wire on fire on September Lane.

Update, 8:44 p.m.

United Illuminating is reporting that 106 customers (3.7 percent) are without power in Easton. 

Update, 8:23 p.m.

The Ridgefield Press is reporting that three people are stuck in an elevator at Meadow Ridge in Georgetown and that the fire department is responding. 

According to Conneticut Light & Power, 1,064 (27 percent) are without power in Redding and 556 (14 percent) are without power in Weston.

United Illuminating reports all customers with power in Easton. 

Update, 8:09 p.m.

Connecticut Light & Power is now reporting 27 percent of Redding customers—1,079—are without power. In Weston, 12 percent (468) are in the dark. 

Update, 7:54 p.m.

Twenty-five percent of Redding residents—1,000 customers—are without power, according to Connecticut Light & Power. Power has been restored to many of those who had lost it in Weston, as the utility company is reporting 435 customers (11 percent) are still without power. 

United Illuminating is not reporting any power outages in Easton. 

Update, 7:35 p.m.

Connecticut Light & Power is reporting that 916 customers (23 percent) are without power in Redding and 1,438 customers (37 percent) are without power in Weston. 

United Illuminating is not reporting any power outages in Easton.
