
Multiple warrants
On Monday, May 7 at 10:05 a.m., stopped a car on Chestnut Woods Road. It was determined the operating was driving with a suspended license and also had outstanding warrants from both the Ridgefield and Danbury Police Departments for motor vehicle and criminal charges.
Francis Santiago, 27, of Danbury was turned over to Ridgefield Police.

State Police nab man wanted in Redding
On Saturday, May 5 at 11:11 p.m., State Police arrested Russell Menz, 22, of Newtown on a warrant issued by Redding Police.

According to police, Menz was arrested in October 2011 for speeding, operating with a suspended license and driving without insurance. He never appeared in court to answer those charges, so police obtained a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear.
Car v. tree
On Monday, May 7 at 11:21 a.m., a box truck driven by Christian Gibbs, 19, of Haddam struck a tree, causing it to fall across the road. Gibbs was taken to the hospital. The case remains under investigation.
Car driven 25 feet off the roadway, is abandoned
On Friday, May 4 at 6:55 a.m., police received a call that there was a car off of Diamond Hill Road in the woods. Apparently during the middle of the night, police said, Carol Farley, 58, of Redding lost control of her vehicle and drove “well into the woods, 25 feet out of the roadway.” It was discovered at daybreak. The case remains under investigation.
Suspended license
On Friday, May 4 at 7:10 p.m., police stopped a car on Redding Road for speeding. It turned out the operator, Irve Goldman, 53, of Redding was also driving with a suspended license.
