Region 9 School Board Member Arrested: Report
The school board member is the former chairwoman of the Redding Board of Education.
REDDING, CT — A former chairwoman of the Region 9 Board of Education has been charged with risk of injury to a minor, reports the News Times. Sara Sobel, 48, and her husband Jon Sobel, 52, turned themselves in on April 17.
According to the report citing court documents, authorities allege the Sobels failed to cooperate with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families regarding an investigation into man charged with sexual assault on a minor.
