School Briefs: Feb. 21

Stonehill College recently named the following local residents to its dean's list for the Fall 2011 semester:

• Easton resident Megan K. Brennan, a member of the class of 2015.
• Weston resident Jane F. Dudley, a member of the class of 2012.
• Weston resident Kathleen M. Schiffman, a member of the class of 2012.

Kathryn St. Raymond, daughter of Melanie and Stephen St. Raymond of Easton was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Saint Michael's College. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.4. St. Raymond is a graduate of Joel Barlow High School.

Sacred Heart University recently released its dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester, and many local students were among those named: Redding residents Neetha Desai, Kelly Gilleran, Melissa McAniff, Robert Shinall and Kathleen Ebbott; Easton residents Amanda Bailey and Candace Maisel; and Weston resident Nancy Daigh. In order to be named, students must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.6.

Emily Myers of Redding, was named to the Fall 2011 honors list at Mary Baldwin College. Students named to the list earned grade point averages of at least 3.75.

The University of Hartford recently released its dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester, and Rachel Rosenberg of Easton and Thomas Rupprecht of Weston were among those named.

Ryan Kenny, a resident of Easton, has been named to the Fall 2011 Champlain College's dean's list for academic achievements and achieving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or more. Kenny is majoring in game art and animation.
