School Briefs: Jan. 23

Two local students were named to the deans’ list for the fall term at Choate Rosemary Hall: Rachel Mellon, of Redding, and Jacqueline Bernstein, of .

Kinza Kabbour Winn Cooper, of Easton, recently graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., earning a bachelor of arts degree.

Kristen Scatamacchia, of Easton, was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Haven for the Fall 2011 semester. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Two local students were named to the dean’s list at Providence College for the Fall 2011 semester: Catherine O’Connell, of Easton, a member of the Class of 2012; and Julia McDonald, of Weston, a member of the Class of 2014. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.55.

Clair Belleveau, of Easton, was recently named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester at Washington College. Belleveau is a freshman. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.4.
