Local students earn accolades at schools across the country.

Amanda Macchio, of Redding, was recently named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester at Georgia Southern University. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Roger Williams University recently released its dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester, and two Easton residents were among those named: Samuel Kivell and Allison Pagliaro. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Kathryn Derrig, of Easton, was named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester at the University of the Sciences. Derrig is a doctor of pharmacy student. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Colby College recently released its dean’s list for the Fall 2011 semester and two local students were among those named: Drew Jamner, son of Howard and Jessica Jamner of Weston, a member of the Class of 2012 and graduate of Weston High School; and Benjamin Amy, son of Shelley McConnell of Redding, a member of the Class of 2013 and graduate of . In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.61.
