Students nationwide earn accolades.

Beckley Munson Parker of was named to the Miami University president's list. In order to be named, students must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Isabelle A. Jaffe, a resident of Easton, has been named to first honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2011 semester. To be eligible for first honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher.

Cheshire Academy announced its honor roll for the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic school year. Zachary Mettel, a sophomore from Weston, received second honors, awarded to students with a grade point average of at least 3.33 and effort honors, recognition of students who consistently perform at the highest expected levels in all of their classes. McKenzie Brandon, also a sophomore from Weston, earns second honors.

Bradley Harder of Redding, a member of the Class of 2012 at Washington and Lee University, has earned honor roll status for the recently ended fall term. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.75.

The following local residents were named to second honors on the Clark University dean's list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2011 semester, as students must earn a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79:

  • Alexandra R. Knopf, a resident of Easton
  • Nicholas P. Figliola, a resident of Weston

Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for Fall 2011 semester have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance. Three Westonites were among those named:

  • Anahita Daghoghi
  • Jenna Elizabeth Keplesky
  • Jordan Madison Masarek
