Shepherds Looking for Mentors for 2017-2018 School Year

Shepherds has been changing students' lives in Connecticut for twenty years.

Shepherds is a Connecticut non-profit that provides tuition support and adult mentors to underserved, at-risk Bridgeport & New Haven area high school students. We are looking for adult mentors and/or financial sponsors for young men & women entering local college-preparatory high schools - Kolbe Cathedral in Bridgeport and Notre Dame High School in West Haven this September for the 2017-2018 school year.

Mentors make a monthly commitment of time and energy to an individual student and receive professional training and extensive staff support throughout their four-year commitment. Sponsors make a financial commitment and receive the reward of knowing they are making a sound investment in the life of an inner-city young person.

Our goal is to help these students achieve their potential through a high quality, college preparatory curriculum, go on to higher education, and eventually become valuable and productive members of society. Immediately our goal is to get these students launched smoothly in September and headed toward the bright future they deserve. Your help is needed!
