Snowstorm Leads to Early Dismissal for Easton, Redding & Region 9 Schools

A Thursday snowstorm is expected to get worse as the day wears on, so Supt. of Schools Bernard A. Josefsberg decided that all schools in the Easton, Redding & Region 9 District will be dismissed early today.

The region is expected to get two inches of snow during the day with another four to 8 inches by tonight, according to AccuWeather.com.

Joel Barlow High School will be dismissed at noon. In Easton, Helen Keller Middle School's day will end at 12:40 p.m. and Samuel Staples Elementary School at 1:25 p.m Redding: RES 12:45 p.m. In Redding, Redding Elementary School will be dismissed by 12:45 p.m. and John Read Middle School at 1:30 p.m.
