Teen Arrested In Serious Redding Crash: Report
Six area teens were hospitalized after a car crashed in Redding and burst into flames.

REDDING, CT — A Fairfield teen turned himself into police Wednesday in connection with a crash that injured six area teens in Redding and stunned the community, reports the Connecticut Post. Ryan Capozziello, 18, of Fairfield was arrested on a warrant on a variety of charges in connection with the April 14 crash.
Capozziello was the driver of the jeep which crashed, and left himself and five other teens seriously injured. All survived, but many were hospitalized for months. The teens were from Redding, Easton and Fairfield, ranging from ages 16-18.
Several passersby on Rte 107 saw the jeep driven by the teens crash into a tree and pulled the teens out of the flaming car. The passersbys and first responders were honored in a ceremony at Joel Barlow High School.
