The Week Ahead in Weston, Redding and Easton

Here's a peek at what's happening in town this week. For a full list of stuff to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

Sign your kids up for camp: Paint, Draw & More! is having a camp Monday through Friday this week at the Georgetown School of the Arts, located at 25 Old Mill Rd., Redding. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 5 through 8 and 9 through 13. The price is $295 for the week, with all materials included. Visit the Paint, Draw & More! website for more information.

Watch a free movie with your family: The Weston Public Library will be playing "The Sandlot," rated PG, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. There will be free water and popcorn, and the library suggests that you come in your pajamas and bring a blanket.

Listen to poetry: Richard Blanco will be reading some of his poems at Farmington's Hill-Stead Museum, located at 35 Mountain Rd., Wednesday at 5 p.m. The event is being put on by Sunken Garden Poetry. Admission is $10 for those over the age of 18. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.

See local art for free: The Sixth Annual Members Exhibit at City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Some of the artists will be at the event for you to talk to as well. For more information, visit the City Lights Gallery website.
