Jewelry stolen from residence
More than $45,000 worth of jewelry and prescription medication was taken from a Longwood Drive residence. The incident was reported to police on Jan. 28 at 12:52 p.m.
The case remains under investigation.

DUI arrest
Brian Murphy, 27, of Ridgefield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right after officers stopped him for operating erratically on Redding Road on Jan. 29 at 1:06 a.m. Murphy failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

He was held on $60 bond and given a Feb. 8 court date.
Failure to appear
Jairo Oliveria, 44, of Danbury turned himself in to on Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in the second degree, a charge stemming from failing to answer motor vehicle charges in court.
Oliveria, who was released on $150 bond after being given a Feb. 10 court date, was turned over to the Seymour Police Department, who wanted him on a separate warrant.
Car accidents
On Jan. 24 at 8:28 p.m., a car driven by Dolores Mills, 82, of Westport struck the guardrail on Newtown Turnpike as she was heading east. She was issued a verbal warning for failure to drive right.
On Jan. 25 at 9:57 a.m., a car driven by John Narducci, 46, of Newtown was heading west on Church Hill Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle heading north on Black Rock Turnpike. He was given a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
