Two Redding teens were hit with marijuana-related charges after police found a car parked in a lot at Huntington State Park at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.

According to police, upon arrival, officers investigated the parked car and detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
A 16-year-old male was charged with possession of just under one-half ounce of marijuana, while a 17-year-old male was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The youths were released to the custody of their parents.

Sarah Quatala, 23, of Easton was charged with driving with a suspended license and traveling too fast for conditions following a one-car accident on Route 53, near Route 107, on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1:30 p.m.
According to police, Quatala lost control at a curve and ran off the road, striking an embankment.
She was released on a promise to appear in court later this month.

On Monday, Oct. 2, police responded to a "smash and grab" larceny from a motor vehicle at Huntington State Park. Someone allegedly stole a purse left in a car parked there.

A 31-year-old female and her 40-year-old boyfriend were both charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic incident at their Mine Hill Road residence on Monday, Oct. 2 at 10 p.m.
According to police, the couple had a "pushing match."
They were both scheduled to appear in court the following day.

Redding Police are currently investigating a report of illegal dumping in the Dumpster at the West Redding Fire Department. The fire chief reported the complaint of someone throwing away their garbage there on Friday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
The case remains under investigation.
