Democrats Keep On Top in Weston
Weinstein and Muller are sent back to town hall for their second terms.
Weston's First Selectman Gayle Weinstein and Selectman David Muller were given their second terms by voters on Tuesday.
Weinstein defeated Selectman Dan Gilbert by a vote of 1,401 to 1,063, or 57 percent to 43 percent.
Muller defeated Republican Dennis Tracey by a vote of 1,248 to 1,209, or 50.8 percent to 49.2 percent.

Because Tracey received more votes than Gilbert, he'll represent the Republican Party on the Board of Selectmen.
The Republicans gained a seat on the Board of Finance, as newcomer David Finkel, , received more votes than Democrat Larry Skor.

According to the Weston Town Clerk's Office, 2,486 of Weston's 6,369 registered voters (39 percent) cast ballots today.
Registered voter breakdown is as follows: 2,299 unaffiliated voters (36.1 percent), 2,163 Democrats (34 percent), 1,891 Republicans (29.7 percent) and 16 voters registered in other parties.
The results for major town boards and contested races are as follows:
First Selectman:
- Gayle Weinstein (D): 1,401 (57 percent)
- Dan Gilbert (R): 1,063 (43 percent)
Selectman:
- David Muller (D): 1,248 (50.8 percent)
- Dennis Tracey (R): 1,209 (49.2 percent)
Board of Finance:
- Michael Carter (R): 1,673
- Jerry Sargent (R): 1,631
- David Finkel (R): 1,437
- Steven Ezzes (D): 1,407
- Larry Skor (D): 1,302
Planning and Zoning Commission:
- Don Saltzman (R): 1,580
- Jane Connolly (D): 1,483
