Weston Man Accused Of Putting Hidden Camera Inside Bathroom Of Norwalk Restaurant: Police

Police said a Weston man accused of placing a concealed​ camera inside the bathroom of a Norwalk restaurant was arrested this week.

WESTON, CT — A Weston man accused of placing a concealed camera inside the bathroom of a Norwalk restaurant was arrested this week, according to Norwalk police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said detectives began their investigation after a camera was found concealed inside the bathroom of a restaurant in Norwalk on Sept. 29.

According to Podgorski, detectives conducted interviews, reviewed surveillance footage and utilized forensic DNA to identify Hector Camacho, 57, of Weston, as the person who placed the camera inside the bathroom.

Camacho was arrested Tuesday on a warrant by Norwalk detectives. He was charged with criminal attempt at voyeurism with malice.

Camacho's bond was set at $75,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court next month, Podgorski said.
