Weston School Budget Workshops Begin Tomorrow

Bring on the school budget workshops.

On Wednesday, the Weston Board of Education will gather from 7 to 9 p.m. at for the first of three budget workshops as administrators aim to define budget drivers for the 2012-2013 school year.

According to Lynee Ohmes, ’s administrative assistant, the first workshop’s agenda includes Dr. Palmer’s overview, and discussiond of the schools’ instructional program, district-wide services, district administration and technology.

The second workshop will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Weston Public Library. According to Ohmes, this workshop will include discussions of the budgets for each of the district’s schools as well as its athletic programs.

Finally, the third workshop will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the library and will include discussion about the budgets for facilities, special education and pupil personnel services followed by a summary.
