Weston Schools Closed Thursday and Friday
CL&P estimates power restored in Weston by the weekend.

Weston Public Schools will remain closed Thursday and Friday, an email blast from the schools reported Wednesday morning.
"There still remain more than 500 students who cannot be reached for transportation and numerous electrical wires on the ground that are energized," the blast said.

Earlier today, Connecticut Light & Power announced that 99 percent of Weston's electricity should be restored by 11:59 p.m. Friday. There are currently 61 percent of Westonites without power.

Whether Westonites will wake up with power remains to be seen, but whatever the case, Weston Public Schools will remain closed on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
According to Connecticut Light & Power, as of 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, 67 percent of Westonites remained without electricity.
The town of Weston sent out a press release Tuesday evening, providing residents with the following information:
- The emergency shelter and comfort station will be open tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Overnight accommodations are available at the Miller-Driscoll School in Wilton, located at 217 Wolfpit Road. Directions are available at town hall and at the middle school.
- Town Hall will be open from 9-5 p.m., the Senior Center will be open from 9 to 2 p.m. and the library will remain open until 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
- The high school library will be open from 8 to 4 p.m. and movies will be shown throughout the day in the high school auditorium. Check the school website for additional information.
- CL&P has identified 146 separate issues. There are crews working through the night, and the town will post restoration estimates as soon as CL&P provides them.
