The final town results are in for Weston: The majority of Democrats voted for Chris Murphy in Tuesday's primary election, while the majority of Republicans voted for Christopher Shays. Murphy received an overwhelming 85 percent of the Democratic vote, while Bysiewicz received 14 percent, according to Democratic Registrar Laura Smits. A total of 14 percent of registered Democrats in Weston came out on Tuesday to vote. Shays received 84 percent of the Republican vote, while McMahon received 15 percent of the vote, according to Republican Registrar Susan Moran. A total of 21 percent of registered Republicans in Weston voted on Tuesday. Check back with Weston-Redding-Easton Patch for the final election results.
