Weston Weather: Coldest Air of the Season Moves In

We'll let you know the forecast for the next week and what to expect on Halloween.

WESTON, CT — It’s been so warm in September and October that we can honestly say that with high temps forecast for only the upper 40s later this week that the coldest air of the season is arriving. It’s really going to feel like fall this week. Gone are the 60 and 70 degree temperatures and lows at night are back into the 30s and 40s this week.

Of course, with Connecticut in the midst of a severe drought some rain would be nice but once again no substantial rain is in the 7-day forecast. Right now there is a 50-50 chance for some showers on Thursday. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said “The rain has ended! Plan on sunshine and windy conditions today with high temperatures in the 50s to around 60° but feeling colder. Getting colder Tuesday and Wednesday with highs only in the 40s. Rain is in the forecast on Thursday. The rain could start is a little wet snow mix!

And for those curious about what the weather will be like on Halloween, Weather.com has some decent news for you. Right now on Halloween it’s expected to be partly cloudy with temps in the low 50s and a 20 percent chance of showers.

Monday: Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, a bit cooler with temps in the mid 50s on the coast and near 50 inland.

Wednesday: Sunshine with temps in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Thursday: Chance of showers during the day. Temps near 50 degrees again.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday signal a return to some warmer temps and bright sunshine for all three days.

On each day temps will be back into the upper 50s, which makes it a great fall weekend.
