For parents looking to get their young, beginning athlete a fun, well-rounded introduction to fitness and activity, SportPerformanceU offers Summer Camps for kids ages 6-10. These camps will be structured to encourage athletic development, while still focusing on fun activities and interactive play.

The Active Start camp, for ages 6-8, will feature a variety of sports and activities geared towards developing early physical development. These skills include balance, hand-eye coordination, running, throwing, catching, kicking, and other foundational skills all athletes will need as they grow. Using game formatted practice, we can find fun ways to ingrain these essential skills, helping kids develop without them even realizing it’s real practice, training, and workouts!

The Fundamentals camp, for ages 8-10, is slightly more structured and advanced, looking to help athletes generate speed and running form, the beginnings of strength, develop acceleration and agility, and more. While still leveraging game-like opportunities, campers will leave with a better understanding of structured workouts, body weight approaches to performance development, and age appropriate exercises.

SportPerformanceU has been in operation since 2012, and has helped athletes of all ages develop both athletic performance and life skills to help them achieve their dreams of playing in college or beyond. SportPerformanceU is excited to see the next generation of young athletes learn to enjoy exercise and sports from a young age, and provide an age-appropriate, fun atmosphere for the launching pad to future success!
