2 Suspects Accused Of Shoplifting From Ulta Beauty Store In Westport
The incident occurred at the Post Road East store on Friday afternoon.

WESTPORT, CT — Two New Jersey men were arrested on larceny charges by Westport police last week, in connection with a shoplifting case at the Ulta Beauty store on the Post Road East in Westport, according to authorities.
Juan Mogrovejo, 40, of Nutley, NJ, and Jose Ortiz-Pariona, 32, of Patterson, NJ, were both charged with fourth-degree larceny and criminal attempt to commit fourth-degree larceny following the Friday incident.
According to Westport police, the incident began at about 5:35 p.m. when the department was alerted about shoplifting in progress at the store.

"The Investigating Officer spoke with the complainant, and they reported a male and female suspect entered the store and stole several items before fleeing," wrote Lt. Eric Woods in a statement. "The complainant reported that the female suspect fled the store and entered another store in the area, while the male suspect fled the store and parking lot in a vehicle."
The complainant provided police with a description of the vehicle and the license plate, and the vehicle was stopped a short while later on the Post Road East near the Fairfield border.

Mogrovejo and Ortiz-Pariona were both in the vehicle and were taken into custody and charged.
The female suspect, who police have tentatively identified, was not found by authorities, but the case remains under investigation.
Both Mogrovejo and Ortiz-Pariona were released after each posted $5,000 bonds, and they are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 18.
