Aquarion Water To Begin Water Main Replacement Project In Westport

Expect traffic delays when the project begins next week.

WESTPORT, CT — Aquarion Water Company will begin a water main replacement project on Riverside Avenue and Charles Street in Westport on Monday. The project, aimed at enhancing system reliability, is expected to be completed by fall 2025, followed by final paving coordinated with local and state officials.

The initiative involves replacing approximately 5,400 feet of water main as part of Aquarion’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its water distribution infrastructure. The improvements are designed to enhance water quality and reduce leaks and service disruptions caused by main breaks.

"We appreciate residents’ patience as we complete this important work," said Justin Xenelis, Aquarion’s Manager of Utility Programs. "Our team will work closely with customers, contractors, and town officials to minimize disruptions."
