Back To School: Westport 2025-26 School Calendar

WESTPORT, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Westport, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Westport Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year.

The first day of school for most students in Westport is Tuesday, Aug. 26.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• Labor Day: Sept. 1 - Schools Closed
• Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 23 - Schools Closed
• Yom Kippur: Oct. 2 - Schools Closed
• Early Release/Professional Development: Oct. 17
• Election Day; Professional Development: Nov. 4 - Schools Closed
• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 26 (Half Day), Nov. 27 and 28
• Winter Recess: Dec. 23 (Half Day), Dec. 24 through Jan. 4
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 19 - Schools Closed
• Presidents' Day/February Recess: Feb. 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20 - Schools Closed
• Professional Development: March 20 - Schools Closed
• Good Friday: April 3 - Schools Closed
