Bridge Street Bridge to Close Twice for Repairs on Wednesday

The Bridge Street Bridge will have two short-term closures for repair work on Wednesday between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.  

The closures will last approximately 30 minutes each to allow the installation of bridge machinery, according to First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.  

The contractor, Cianbro Construction Company, will also be making repairs to the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge, officially called the William J. Cribari Memorial Bridge.  

Pedestrian traffic will not be affected during the closures. Signs and markings for detour routes for vehicles will be posted, Joseloff said.
