Free Holiday Wheels2You Rides Scheduled In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — This holiday season, the Westport Transit District is spreading cheer with a special gift to the community: free Wheels2U rides from December 26 through December 31.

Wheels2U is Westport’s on-demand, shared shuttle service that takes you door-to-train platform at the Saugatuck and Greens Farms stations. Whether you're heading into NYC for holiday fun or coming to Westport to shop, dine, or visit loved ones, Wheels2U makes getting around easy, safe, and now—free.

“We’re thrilled to offer this holiday gift to our riders,” said Peter Gold, Co-Director of the Westport Transit District. “Whether you're commuting, catching a Broadway matinee, visiting family, or enjoying Westport’s shops and restaurants, Wheels2U is here to make your trip smoother and more festive. No parking hassles, no cold walk from your car to the platform, no scraping ice off your windshield when you return—just hop on and go! Try it for free and see how easy it is!”

Special Holiday Bonus for Students:

Westport Transit Co-Director Karina Betfarhad adds: “Middle schoolers and high school underclassmen can use Wheels2U to meet friends safely and independently—whether it’s breakfast or coffee in Saugatuck, pizza or shopping in the afternoon, or a study session at the Westport Library—we’re making it even easier to get together with friends to socialize or prep for upcoming midterms.”

Service Hours:

• Monday–Friday (Saugatuck and Greens Farms Train Stations): • 5:30 AM – 10:30 AM • 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Tuesday–Thursday (Jesup Green/Library/Senior Center): • 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Download the Wheels2U Westport app, request a pickup about 20 minutes before you need to leave, and enjoy a free ride between December 26–31. (No service on December 25 or January 1.)
