Child Passenger Safety Event This Week In Westport
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, 73 percent of car seats are misused or improperly installed.
WESTPORT, CT — This week is national Child Passenger Safety Week, a time to share information with parents and caregivers about how to ensure their children are safely secured in car seats, booster seats and seat belts when riding in a vehicle.
On Saturday, Sept. 27, Yale New Haven Health will hold a Car Seat Safety Day, where you can have your car seat checked for free by a certified passenger safety technician.
The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon in the Lot 1 parking area at the Westport Train Station, at Charles and Park streets. See information below.
