Coffee With A Cop Set For This Week In Westport
Coffee with a Cop's mission is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.
WESTPORT, CT — Coffee with a Cop with members of the Westport Police Department is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Starbucks at 1 Parker Harding Plaza in downtown Westport.
Since its inception in 2011, the national Coffee with a Cop program’s mission is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve. It has successfully spread to all 50 states and 14 countries.
"When you stop in for your morning coffee, leave a little extra time to join your neighbors and Westport’s finest for coffee and conversation," authorities said in a statement. "The goal is to create a space where there are no communication barriers, no speeches, no agenda, just honest conversations about issues affecting our community, a chance to ask questions and discuss local things to do and places to eat."
