Special Olympics Connecticut's Torch Run Goes Through Westport Friday
Westport Police Officers will be carrying the Flame of Hope through town in support of Special Olympics Connecticut.
Information from the Westport Police Department:
WESTPORT, CT —On Friday, May 31st, Westport Police Officers will be carrying the Flame of Hope in support of Special Olympics Connecticut. As in years past, Norwalk Police will hand off the Flame of Hope at the Westport/Norwalk Town Line at approximately 12:00 pm.
Westport Police Officers will then carry the torch along Route 1 and pass it off to Fairfield PD at the Fairfield Town Line. This is a Police escorted event, and we encourage residents to come out and support this very special cause.
