Date Set For Westport Library’s 2025 Big Spring Book Sale
Thousands of books, art, puzzles, and more will be on sale.
WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Library will host its annual Big Spring Book Sale from Friday, May 16 through Monday, May 19, organizers announced. The event, held on the library’s main level at 20 Jesup Road, features thousands of gently used books and other media for all ages and interests.
Organized by Westport Book Sale Ventures, the sale will offer more than 50 categories of fiction and nonfiction titles, including noteworthy and antiquarian books, vintage children’s books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, framed art, and ephemera.
Admission is free during general sale hours:

- Friday, May 16: Noon to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, May 17: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, May 18: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (most items half-price)
- Monday, May 19: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (fill a logo bag for $10, a similar-sized personal bag for $8, or purchase items individually at half-price)
Early access is available Friday morning, May 16, from 8:45 a.m. to noon for those who purchase a ticket in advance at Eventbrite. Details and updates can be found at www.westportbooksaleventures.org/our-events.

Highlights of the sale include:
- A large collection of books on Princess Diana and the British royal family, including a Danbury Mint Princess Diana Bride Doll
- Surplus copies of Staples High School yearbooks from 2000 to 2024
- New-condition novels by bestselling author Jane Green in 17 languages
- Framed art, including photographs by Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and Staples High School alumnus Spencer Platt
- A wide variety of jigsaw puzzles at discounted prices
- A dedicated room of hardcover and paperback fiction for $1 per book (note: prices remain the same on Sunday)
