Date Set For Westport's 2025 Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

Long-time Westport residents and Staples High School alums, Melissa and Doug Bernstein, are once again sponsoring this year's fireworks.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport's annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration is scheduled for July 2 at Compo Beach, and once again, long-time Westport residents and Staples High School alums, Melissa and Doug Bernstein, are sponsoring this year’s event.

The Westport Police Athletic League and the Westport Parks and Recreation are organizing the event, and tickets will go on sale on May 26.

"This is our favorite time of year in Westport, seeing this amazing community gather together for such a joy-filled event," the Bernsteins said in a statement.

Fireworks tickets will be available at both Westport Parks and Recreation Office and the Westport Police Department. Ticket price for 2025 is $75 per vehicle, payable by cash or check made out to Westport PAL.

Westport Police Corporal and Westport PAL President Craig Bergamo is excited for another successful event that benefits Westport PAL.

"Westport PAL in conjunction with the Town of Westport is honored to plan, coordinate, and deliver another year of firework’s festivities," Bergamo said. "This is our organization's largest fundraising event, and we appreciate the community’s continued support."
