Westport Library's Big Fall Book Sale Starts This Week
The sale offers thousands of gently used books in dozens of categories, in addition to audiobooks, CDs, vinyl records, DVDs and more.

WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Library's Big Fall Book Sale is scheduled for Dec. 5 through Dec. 8 on the library’s main level at 20 Jesup Road, organizers announced.
Hours for the popular event are:
Friday, Dec. 5: Noon — 6pm (please note Noon start time)
Saturday, Dec. 6: 9am — 5pm
Sunday, Dec. 7: 11 am — 5pm (almost everything half-price)
Monday, Dec. 8: 9am — 4pm (shoppers can fill the library's logo bag for $10 per bag, or their own equivalent-sized bag for $8, or buy individual books at half-price)

"Once again Westport Book Sale offers thousands of gently used books in 50+ categories, along with vintage children’s and antiquarian titles, audiobooks, CDs, vinyl, DVDs, ephemera, and framed artworks," organizers wrote in a statement. "Admission is free during general sale hours."
On Friday, Dec. 5, from 8:45 a.m. to noon, the Book Sale will be open only to patrons who purchase an Early Access ticket in advance. Early Access tickets are available online, through eventbrite.com, at https://WestportFall2025BookSale.eventbrite.com. Of special interest for this sale:
- Extensive German-language collection featuring fiction and nonfiction across a wide range of topics.
- A selection of musical scores along with books and materials related to Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, ideal for musicians, performers, and collectors.
- Holiday-themed children’s books perfect for seasonal reading, gifting, and family traditions.
- A large assortment of jigsaw puzzles in many themes and difficulty levels, all at exceptional bargain prices.

- A dedicated $1 Fiction Room filled with thousands of titles — hardcover fiction, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, young adult books, and paperbacks — all priced at just $1 each and these books stay $1 on half price Sunday.
