DiMatteo Group Financial Services Sponsors Major Community Project
For Over 25 Years, This Shelton Company Has Spread Joy and Delivered 2,450 Easter Baskets To Children Living In Domestic Violence Shelters
Easter is a time of hope and new beginnings and that is exactly what the DiMatteo family of Bethany delivered in a really big way this year to children living in domestic violence shelters in the region.
For over 25 years, the DiMatteo family has organized an annual Easter Basket Drive. This year's drive throughout Fairfield and New Haven Counties was sponsored by DiMatteo Group Financial Services, a well-known, family business headquartered in Shelton.
"Typically, we assemble 100 baskets each year for area children but this year we increased our distribution by a whopping fifty percent," said Jessica DiMatteo, who spearheaded this drive for the fourth year in a row and serves as a Financial Advisor at DiMatteo Group Financial Services.
"All our volunteers and donors stepped up and contributed their time and extra resources so we could distribute a record-breaking 150 baskets. The DiMatteo family extends their sincerest gratitude to everyone who gave so generously and supported this worthwhile community outreach project."

The following five organizations were the direct recipients of their spirit of giving: the Domestic Violence Crisis Centers of Norwalk and Stamford, Inspirica Inc of Stamford, Open Doors CT in Norwalk, and The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services in Ansonia.
Each child, from infants on up to teenagers, received age appropriate baskets that were meticulously crafted by a dedicated group of volunteers. Special thanks to these outstanding volunteers who dedicated countless hours of their time to bring happiness to others: Kim LaChance of Prospect, Nicole Kelley of Guilford, and Bethany residents Cindy Smith and Lily Warecke as well as the DiMatteo family, especially Jessica and Kim DiMatteo of Bethany.
