Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event, which is free and open to the public.

In her book, Mannes explores how neuroscientists and psychologists are learning how melody, rhythm, and harmony can change the way our brains work. She developed and created the primetime PBS special The Music Instinct: Science and Song, which explores recent discoveries about the power of music and its connection to the body, the brain and the world of nature.
