Enjoy a Dog Day Afternoon at Winslow Park on June 8
The nonprofit Emergency Animal Response Service (EARSCT) will host a Dog Day Picnic on Saturday, June 8 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy a Saturday in Winslow Park with man's best friend on Saturday, June 8, when the nonprofit Emergency Animal Response Service (EARSCT) hosts a Dog Day Picnic.
"The aim of the event is to offer tips and tricks, health and wellness information, and details on important annual reminders such as vaccination time and dog licensing month in Connecticut, which is June," according to a statement released by EARS.
The picnic also provides a chance for people and their dogs to mingle with other dog lovers and their pets. EARS will provide snacks for people and pets alike, a raffle, and first aid demonstrations.
There is no charge to attend the event, though donations for EARS will be accepted. EARS is a statewide response team dedicated to animal emergencies and disasters.
The picnic takes place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 9.
