Fire Injures 1 In Westport: Authorities

The injured person was taken to Norwalk Hospital, authorities said.

WESTPORT, CT — One person was injured in a fire Friday in Westport, according to authorities.

Firefighters responded at 3:41 p.m. to a house on Tarone Drive and arrived to find a blaze in the attached garage, authorities said. They stopped the fire from spreading to the house and all the occupants were out of the building before firefighters reached the scene.

One occupant was hurt and was taken to Norwalk Hospital, according to authorities, who said the blaze was being investigated by the local fire marshal’s office.

Agencies from Fairfield, Wilton and Norwalk assisted during the response, authorities said, as did Westport police and emergency medical services.
