McMahon was driving a 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed in the right lane near exit 20 (formerly exit 41) on the morning of July 24, when the car rear-ended a 2023 BMW 430 driven by a 72-year-old New York City woman, according to state police. The Bentley then crashed into the wooden beam guardrail in the median.
Debris from the crash flew over the guardrail into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium driven by a North Haven man, 27, state police said.
