Friends Are Free on Fridays at the Family Y

Friends are free on Fridays at the Westport Weston Family Y beginning Friday, July 12.

Family Y members are welcome to bring neighbors and friends on Fridays to try out what's offered at the Family Y -- like pickup basketball games, aquatics, group fitness, and Spinning classes.

“For 90 years, our Y’s mission has been to enrich the entire community by developing and nurturing youth and promoting healthy living for all,” Brian Marazzi, Membership & Marketing Director for the Family Y, said in a press release. 

“The local families we serve -- many have been Y members for two and three generations now -- are our best ‘Y ambassadors,’” Marazzi added. “We think Free Fridays are a great way for them to introduce their friends and neighbors who might be newer to our community to all that our Family Y has to offer.”

Guests just need to drop by the Member Services Desk at the Family Y on Fridays to sign a waiver form. They can use the facility for up to three Fridays before paying a daily guest fee or joining the Y.

Those who decided to join the Y after their first Free Friday visit will not have to pay a join fee.

"And as a thank-you to Y members for inviting guests to the Y, the Y will credit the member with a free month of membership for each guest who joins the Y," according to the Family Y's press release.
