The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp Names New Connecticut Camp Director

The camp was founded in 1988 by the late actor, philanthropist and Westport resident Paul Newman.

WESTPORT, CT — Jude AlBukhari, PsyD, has been appointed as the new Connecticut camp director for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a nonprofit serving children with serious illnesses and their families.

In her new role, AlBukhari will oversee the Connecticut-based camp’s operations, including recruitment, staff training, and program design. The organization, founded by actor Paul Newman, offers year-round programming free of charge to children facing medical challenges.

AlBukhari brings experience in clinical psychology and youth leadership to the position. She previously worked as an attending psychologist at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she conducted neuropsychological assessments for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. She has also served as a behavioral health consultant for early-stage startups, contributing to the development of digital mental health tools.

Beyond her clinical work, AlBukhari has held numerous leadership positions with CISV International, a global youth organization she joined at age 11. She has directed and staffed camps in several countries, including Jordan, Italy, and the Netherlands, and currently serves on the CISV USA Board of Directors. Her efforts have focused on strengthening chapter operations, increasing volunteer engagement, and expanding program offerings in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

AlBukhari holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University, and both a master’s and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Stanford University and Palo Alto University.
