Juvenile Scooter Operator Seriously Injured In Westport Crash, Cops Say

WESTPORT, CT — A juvenile operating an electric scooter Wednesday evening was seriously injured in a crash on Cobble Hill Road in Westport, according to police.

Westport police were notified of the single-vehicle crash at about 6 p.m. It occurred near 6 Cobble Hill Road, and the operator of the scooter was immediately transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

Members of the Westport Police Accident Investigation Team, with the assistance of the Fairfield Police Accident Investigation Team, conducted a thorough examination of the scene and are working to determine the cause of the crash, according to Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana.
